Uniform Kids Christmas
Somebody has to work Christmas. Every year, thousands of firefighters, paramedics, officers, nurses, and service members spend December 25 on shift, on deployment, or in a hospital bed, and their kids open presents without them. Uniform Kids Christmas makes sure those kids are never forgotten.
When a parent works Christmas, the whole family works Christmas.

Kids Whose Parent Is on Shift
Fire, EMS, law enforcement, and hospital families who draw the Christmas Eve or Christmas Day shift.
Kids Whose Parent Is Deployed
Military families spending the holidays with an empty chair and a countdown on the fridge.
Kids Whose Parent Is Injured
Families spending December in recovery, in rehab, or in a waiting room, with no room in the budget for a tree.
Kids Whose Parent Is Gone
Children of the fallen, for whom every Christmas is the first Christmas all over again.
What Happens
Christmas, Delivered by the Uniform
Gifts for Every Uniform Kid
Age appropriate gifts for every child in an enrolled family, chosen from the kid's own wish list, wrapped and ready.
Uniform Santa Deliveries
Gifts are delivered by firefighters, officers, medics, and service members in uniform, with lights and sirens where the department allows.
The Christmas Shift Box
For the family at home on Christmas Eve while a parent works: a box with a meal, a movie, cocoa, and a note from another uniform family who has been there.
Station and Base Christmas
Christmas parties at fire stations, sheriff's stations, hospitals, and armories so kids can spend the holiday where their parent is.
Deployed Parent Connection
Video call setups, recorded story time from the deployed parent, and gifts sent in that parent's name.
Families of the Fallen First
Children of the fallen are enrolled automatically through the Gold Star and Fallen Responder Family Program, every year, for as long as they are kids.

Give a Christmas
Every dollar goes to gifts, boxes, and deliveries for uniform kids. Sponsors are named on the gift tag, with the family's permission.
How Families Enroll
Three Steps
A Family Signs Up
A parent, spouse, or department contact enrolls the family through the Direct Line and shares each child's age and wish list.
Sponsors Fill the List
Donors, businesses, and toy drives fund the gifts. Volunteers wrap them.
Christmas Arrives
The uniform shows up at the door, or the family comes to the station party, and the kids get their Christmas.
Why We Built This
Because Someone Has to Work Christmas
Uniform Families Foundation was founded by a fire wife who has spent Christmases with a plate saved in the oven and kids asking when Dad gets home. Uniform Kids Christmas exists so the children who share their parent with the country on the biggest morning of the year get a little of that morning back.
