The Fire Ball
A Uniform Families Foundation Event
The Fire Ball
One night a year, the firefighters put on dress uniform, the fire wives put on gowns, the kids get invited, and nobody has to save a plate in the oven. The Fire Ball is a gala for fire families, hosted by Uniform Families Foundation, where the people who spend every other night on call are the guests of honor.
Dress uniform. Gowns. Kids invited. Nobody on call.

What Happens at the Fire Ball
Dress Uniform and Gowns
Firefighters in Class A. Spouses dressed to the nines. The photo every fire family wants and never gets.
Kids Welcome
A family gala, not a stuffy one. A kids' table, a kids' dance, and a firefighter who is not working for once.
Dinner and Dancing
A real dinner, a real band or DJ, and a dance floor full of people who usually see each other at 3 a.m. on a call.
Honors
Fire families of the year, retirees, rookies who finished probation, and the families of the fallen, honored in front of everyone.
Sponsored Tables
Businesses and departments sponsor tables so fire families attend at little or no cost. Every sponsor is named.
Proceeds to Fire Families
Everything raised goes to Uniform Families Foundation programs for the fire pillar.

Why We Built This
Because Fire Families Never Get the Night Out
Fire families plan Christmas around a shift calendar and cancel anniversaries for strike teams. Uniform Families Foundation was founded by a fire wife who knows exactly how many nights out the fire life takes. The Fire Ball gives one back, every year, in a room full of people who understand.
