The Fire Wife Day Off Fund

A fire wife does not get days off. She runs the house on a 48, sleeps with one ear on the phone, and cancels her own plans for strike teams and overtime. The Fire Wife Day Off Fund gives her one: a massage, a spa day, a makeover, a few hours that are only about her, paid for by people who know she earned it.

A Makeover

Hair and makeup with a professional, and a photo she actually likes.

Fire Wife Glow Up Days

Group events where a room full of fire wives get pampered together and nobody explains the shift calendar.

Why We Built This

Founded by a Fire Wife

Uniform Families Foundation was founded by a fire wife, and FireWives was the first thing she built. This fund is the one she would have wanted someone to start for her: not a program, not a meeting, just a day where the fire life is not allowed in the room.

  • For the spouses and partners of firefighters, active and retired
  • Massages, spa days, makeovers, and Glow Up Days
  • Nominated by the people who see her
  • Salons and spas can partner to host

Uniform Families Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Days off are awarded as funds allow.
