Two Decades on the Front Lines
As an EMS Captain with the Los Angeles Fire Department, John has spent more than twenty years responding to emergencies in one of the largest cities in the country. That experience gives him a firsthand understanding of the realities first responder families live with every day — the long shifts, the unpredictable calls, and the weight service places on the entire household.
A Marine's Perspective
A United States Marine Corps veteran, John brings a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by both service members and their families. His combined military and fire service background allows him to advise across the full spectrum of uniformed service life, from active duty and veteran transition to first responder wellness and readiness.
Guiding the Mission
On the Advisory Council, John provides strategic guidance on first responder family needs, emergency preparedness, and the broader public safety community. He helps ensure the Foundation's programs reflect the real experiences of the families they are built to serve.
