Federal Career — Internal Revenue Service
Mr. Bradford began his career of public service after graduating from college and receiving a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserves Finance Corps, attending Finance Officer Basic Training at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indiana.
Early in his professional career, he worked as a Construction Accountant for Alabama Power Company in Graysville, Alabama, where he was responsible for processing payments for materials used in the construction of the company's electric generating plant — providing valuable experience in large-scale financial operations and project-based accounting.
After relocating to Texas, Mr. Bradford began a distinguished 33-year career with the Internal Revenue Service, a bureau of the United States Department of the Treasury. As an Internal Revenue Agent, he conducted detailed audits of individual and small business income tax returns to verify financial accuracy and ensure compliance with federal tax regulations.
Throughout his IRS career, Mr. Bradford advanced through positions of increasing responsibility. Prior to retirement, he served as a Team Coordinator, managing a team of highly specialized professionals — including engineers, computer specialists, and financial audit specialists — responsible for auditing major corporations for federal income tax compliance. In this leadership role, he coordinated audit strategies, supervised technical specialists, reviewed complex financial analyses, and ensured that corporate audits were conducted with precision and strict adherence to federal regulations.
Military Service — U.S. Army Reserves
Mr. Bradford proudly served more than 20 years in the United States Army Reserves as a Finance Officer. During his final military assignment with the 75th Division Training Command, he managed the processing of military pay and entitlements for soldiers participating in training operations across the United States.
