Counseling Stipend Program

The uniform carries weight, and so does the family who loves the one wearing it. Free and subsidized counseling sessions with licensed therapists, for the spouses and kids who serve at home.

The Whole Family Serves. The Whole Family Deserves Support.

Uniform spouses absorb the missed holidays, the sleepless nights during a big incident, and the quiet fear that comes with every shift. Uniform kids grow up learning to be brave before they learn to spell it. That strength is real, but it should never have to stand alone.

The Counseling Stipend Program covers the cost of professional counseling sessions with licensed therapists who understand first responder and military family life. No family should skip getting help because of a copay.

How It Works

Simple, private, and built around your family's schedule, including telehealth options for shift weeks and deployments.

1

Reach Out

Submit a confidential request through our contact form. Tell us who needs support (spouse, child, or both) and your service branch. That is all we need to begin.

2

Get Matched

We connect you with a licensed therapist from our partner network, matched for your family's needs, with culturally competent care for uniform life.

3

Sessions Covered

UFF pays the therapist directly for a set number of sessions, fully covered or subsidized based on need. You focus on healing, we handle the bill.

Your Privacy Is Protected

Counseling requests are handled by a single point of contact and are never shared with departments, commands, or employers. What happens in your sessions stays between you and your therapist. We only ever know what we need to pay the invoice.

Who Is Eligible

Spouses and children of active or retired personnel across all six UFF service pillars. Stipends are awarded based on need and available funding, with priority for families in crisis, after a critical incident, or during deployment.
