Faith and Family Chaplain Network
A Uniform Families Foundation Program
Faith and Family Chaplain Network
Uniform Families Foundation connects firefighters, paramedics, law enforcement officers, medical professionals, service members, and their families with chaplains and faith communities who understand this life because they have lived it.
The uniform carries the weight. Faith carries the one who wears it, and the family beside them.
Why This Exists
Chaplains Know This Life
Every fire department, sheriff's station, hospital, and military base has chaplains, but one chaplain can only reach so far. The member carries the call home. The spouse is awake at 2 a.m. The child is scared before a deployment. The parent sits through a line of duty funeral. Too often, each of them carries it alone.
The Faith and Family Chaplain Network cares for the whole household, the person in uniform and the family beside them. It connects them with department, hospital, and military chaplains, with local faith communities ready to welcome them, and with pastors and counselors who know how to walk with a family through service life.
What the Network Provides
Six Ways We Show Up
Chaplain Referrals
A direct connection to a chaplain who serves your department, hospital, agency, or branch, and who will meet with the whole family too.
Line of Duty Care
When a member is injured or killed, chaplains and faith leaders come alongside the member and the family from the first hours through the memorial and the long road after.
A Church Home After a Move
For military families landing at a new duty station, an introduction to a welcoming faith community before the boxes are unpacked.
Relocation SupportMarriage and Family Support
Faith based marriage and family counseling for couples holding the home front together through shifts and deployments.
Family and MarriagePrayer and Encouragement
A network of faith communities that prays for those who serve and their families by name and shows up with meals, rides, and childcare when a family is stretched.
Faith and Mental Health, Together
Chaplains work hand in hand with the licensed counselors in our Counseling Stipend program so no one has to choose between faith and clinical help.

Our Founding Chaplains
Uniform Families Foundation is naming one Founding Chaplain for each of our six pillars. Each Founding Chaplain is the voice of faith for their pillar, someone who knows the uniform and the life that comes with it.
Founding Chaplains help shape this network from its first day. They offer encouragement to those who serve and their families across the country, and they serve from wherever they live, by phone and video.

How It Works
Three Steps
Ask
A member or a family reaches out through the Direct Line or our contact form and tells us what they need: a chaplain, a faith community, prayer, or someone to sit with them.
We Connect
Uniform Families Foundation matches them with a chaplain or faith partner in their area and their tradition.
They Walk With You
The chaplain or faith community stays with you for as long as it takes. We check in to make sure the connection held.
Our Promise
Every Faith Welcome. No One Alone.
Uniform Families Foundation was founded by a woman of faith who has leaned on it through every long shift and every hard night of service life. This network exists so every person in uniform and every uniform family, of every tradition, has someone to call on when the weight gets heavy.
- Open to every faith tradition
- Serves those in uniform and their families across all six pillars
- Chaplains, pastors, and faith communities volunteer their care
- Works alongside licensed counseling, never in place of it
- Confidential, always
No one who serves, and no family who loves them, should carry the weight of this life alone.
In February 2025 the President established the White House Faith Office to strengthen the role of faith in American life. This network carries that same purpose to those who serve and their families. Uniform Families Foundation is not affiliated with the White House Faith Office or any government agency. Chaplains and faith partners in the network serve voluntarily and in their own traditions. If you are in crisis, call or text 988. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.
