The Scrubs Fund
Medical and Frontline | A Uniform Families Foundation Fund
The Scrubs Fund
Not everyone in scrubs makes nurse money. The CNA turning patients at 3 a.m., the patient care tech, the medical assistant, the aide, the ER registration clerk who takes the first punch. They hold the hospital together for close to minimum wage. The Scrubs Fund is a hardship fund for the lowest paid people in scrubs.
They hold the hospital together for the least. We hold them.
The Problem
The People in Scrubs Who Cannot Afford the Hospital They Work In
The Pay
CNAs, techs, aides, and medical assistants often earn a fraction of what the nurses beside them make, for the same exposure and the same exhaustion.
The Hours
Twelve hour shifts, nights, weekends, and mandatory overtime, with no cushion when the car breaks or the rent goes up.
The Risk
They lift, they get hit, they get sick. When they are out injured, the paycheck stops and the bills do not.
The Invisibility
Nobody makes a TV show about the CNA. This fund does not need one. It just pays the bill.
