Gold Star and Fallen Responder Family Program
A Uniform Families Foundation Program
★
Gold Star and Fallen Responder Family Program
When a firefighter, paramedic, law enforcement officer, medical professional, or service member does not come home, a family's whole life changes in one phone call. Uniform Families Foundation stands with that family from the first hours through every year after.
The country remembers the name on the wall. We remember the family who still says it every day.
Who This Serves
Every Family of the Fallen, Every Uniform
Gold Star families, the families of service members who died in the line of duty, have a name for their loss that the country recognizes. The families of fallen firefighters, paramedics, officers, and medical professionals often do not. Uniform Families Foundation is the first foundation to serve all of them together, with the same care, under one roof.
This program serves surviving spouses, children, parents, and siblings of members of all six pillars who were killed in the line of duty, whether last week or twenty years ago.
What the Program Provides
Support for the First Days and the Long Years
The First 72 Hours
Immediate Response
Emergency Hardship Grant funds released fast for travel, meals, childcare, and the costs that arrive before anything else does. A chaplain and a Uniform Families Foundation family liaison connect with the family.
The First Year
Walking Alongside
Monthly check ins, counseling for every member of the family through the Counseling Stipend, help navigating benefits and paperwork, and a Trump Account contribution for every child.
Every Year After
Remembering Together
Anniversary remembrance, holiday support, Uniform Kids programs for the children as they grow, and a standing invitation to every Uniform Families Foundation event as honored guests.
The Children
Their Future, Protected
Trump Accounts, Uniform Kids Scholarships as they launch, Strong Minds, the Fitness Challenge, and back to school support. A parent's sacrifice should open doors for their child, not close them.

How Families Reach Us
Three Ways In
A Family Reaches Out
Any surviving family member can contact us directly through the Direct Line. No referral needed. No paperwork before the first conversation.
A Department Refers
A department, agency, hospital, or command can refer a family in the first hours. We coordinate with the department's own survivor support so nothing is duplicated and nothing falls through.
A Friend Nominates
A neighbor, coworker, or friend can tell us about a family who needs us. We reach out gently and let the family decide.
Why We Built This
Because the Casseroles Stop Coming
In the first weeks after a line of duty death, the community shows up. Then the funeral is over, the news moves on, and the family is alone with the empty chair. Uniform Families Foundation was founded by a fire wife who knows that fear from the inside. This program exists so the support does not stop when the attention does.
- Serves families of the fallen from all six pillars, no matter how long ago
- Immediate financial help, then long term care
- Every child of the fallen receives a Trump Account contribution
- Works alongside department survivor programs, never in competition with them
- Honored guests at every Uniform Families Foundation event, always
Uniform Families Foundation is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, or any government survivor benefits program. We help families understand and reach official benefits and provide our own support alongside them. If you are in crisis, call or text 988.
