One weekend a year for the couples who hold the uniform life together. Firefighters, paramedics, law enforcement, medical, and military, with the spouses who wait at the door. No phones. No shop talk. Pastors and counselors who understand the job. Just the two of you, for once.
The job takes a lot out of a marriage. One weekend a year, we give some back.

What the Retreat Is
Faith and Rest
Two nights away with chaplains, pastors, and licensed counselors who know what a 48, a deployment, or a night on the street does to a marriage.
Every Pillar in One Room
A fire couple next to a nurse's family next to a Marine and his wife. Nobody has to explain the schedule, the fear, or the silence at the dinner table.
Private by Design
No photos, no social media, no last names required. Law enforcement couples attend without ever being identified.
Paid For
Sponsors and donors cover the weekend so a uniform couple can come at little or no cost. The families who serve everyone else do not pay for this.
What Happens
Two Nights, Three Days
Arrive Friday
Check in, dinner together, and the first night the two of you have had in a long time.
Saturday Sessions
Morning sessions on marriage under the uniform, led by chaplains and counselors. Afternoons free. Saturday night dinner and worship.
Sunday Send Off
Chapel, brunch, and a plan to carry home. Couples leave with a counselor contact and a circle of couples who get it.
Counseling Available
Private sessions with a licensed counselor all weekend for any couple who wants one, no record, no paperwork.

Couples arrange their own care at home. We help with the cost for families who need it so both spouses can come.

Because the Uniform Comes Home With Them
Uniform Families Foundation was founded by a fire wife married to a Marine veteran and an LAFD EMS Captain for fifteen years. She knows what the job does to a marriage and how rarely anyone gives the couple a weekend back. The Uniform Couples Retreat is that weekend, every year, for every pillar.
