The Quiet Badge Fund

Law Enforcement | A Uniform Families Foundation Fund

The Quiet Badge Fund

When kids see a fire engine, they wave. When people see a patrol car, some of them do something else. A law enforcement officer puts their life on the line just driving down the street, and their family lives with that every single day, quietly, because they cannot always say out loud who they are married to. The Quiet Badge Fund covers those families in prayer and faith.

The Quiet Badge Fund

The badge is hated in public. The family is covered in private.

Why This Exists

A Family That Cannot Say It Out Loud

A fire wife can put a sticker on her car. A law enforcement spouse often cannot tell her coworkers what her husband does. The badge that protects the community can make the family a target, so the family goes quiet. Quiet about the job, quiet about the fear, quiet about the nights the news is on and the phone has not rung.

What covers a family like that is not a parade. It is prayer, and people of faith who will stand with them without ever needing to know their last name. That is what this fund pays for.

What the Fund Does

Three Kinds of Covering

Prayer Partners

Churches and prayer groups adopt a law enforcement family and pray for them by first name, every week, for as long as the officer serves. The family knows they are covered. The church never learns the last name or the department.

Family Chaplains

Law enforcement chaplains for the spouse and kids, not just the officer. Home visits, prayer, and someone to sit with the family after a hard night on the street.

Chaplain Network

Faith Retreats for Couples

Weekends away for law enforcement couples with pastors and chaplains who understand the badge. No photos. No publicity. Paid for by the fund.

The Uniform Couples Retreat

Prayer Boxes

A small box delivered to the home: a devotional, a handwritten prayer card, and a note that says someone is praying for this house tonight.

Kids Covered Too

Prayer partners and chaplain care for the children who hear what people say about the badge at school and carry it home.

Every Agency

Police, sheriff, highway patrol, corrections, school police, federal agents. If there is a badge in the house, the house is covered.

3

You Are Covered

Weekly prayer, chaplain check ins, and an invitation to the next couples retreat.

Why We Built This

Because Somebody Has to Pray for the Badge

Uniform Families Foundation was founded by a woman of faith who knows what it is to wait for a phone to ring. She also knows her husband gets waved at, and a police officer's husband or wife does not get to say that. The Quiet Badge Fund makes sure the family behind the badge is covered in prayer every day the badge goes out the door.

  • Serves families of every law enforcement agency
  • Prayer partners, chaplains, and retreats
  • Families stay private, always
